Welcome to the home for news and information about Dimensions Healthcare System’s contract
negotiations with the Service Employees International Union. Negotiations give each side an
opportunity to review the contract in an effort to address any problems and develop solutions.
The healthcare industry is undergoing significant change in this country and the same can be said for Dimensions Healthcare System (DHS). As of January 2013, University of Maryland Medical System physicians now operate and manage all of the Dimensions Healthcare System’s emergency departments at Bowie Health Center, Laurel Regional Hospital and Prince George’s Hospital Center. Just last year, Dimensions Healthcare System successfully launched the organization’s first ever electronic medical record increasing both patient safety and quality. Fast forward to January 2014 and Dimensions Healthcare System launched its ambulatory care strategy by opening the new Family Health and Wellness Center in Suitland, MD. As change is ever present inside and outside of Dimensions Healthcare System, it’s time for the contract between DHS and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) to change too.
Dimensions Healthcare System developed this website so that all staff, both employees and management, can stay up to date and informed about the collective bargaining process between SEIU and DHS. Please check back often for the latest negotiation information and progress updates. Dimensions Healthcare System is committed to working with the Service Employees International Union to reach new contracts that mutually benefit all parties…because all we do is care.
